OK for all you losers in the ECAC Pick the Standings Contest here is your chance to redeem yourselves :) .

Congrats to the Cleary Cup winning Quinnipiac Bobcats. Quinnipiac, RPI, Yale and Union have the Byes for the opening round.

Here is how the contest is played.
Pick who you think will win each of the first round playoff series and what the game count will be.
As an example:

Harvard vs Dartmouth. Harvard 2-1 or Harvard 2-0 or Dartmouth 2-1 or Dartmouth 2-0

You get a point for picking the correct winner of the series and a point for each correct total wins for each team.
Max first round point total per series is 4.

If Harvard wins 2-0 and you pick them to win 2-0 you get 4 points, 1 for Harvard as the series winner, 2 for each Harvard win and 1 for picking Dartmouth to not win a game.
If Harvard wins 2-1 and you pick them to win 2-0 you get 3 points
If Harvard wins 2-0 and you pick Dartmouth to win 2-1 you get 1 point
If Harvard wins 2-0 and you pick Dartmouth to win 2-0 you get 0 points.

So here are the first round matchups: PLEASE KEEP YOUR PICKS IN THIS EXACT ORDER AS IT IS EASIER FOR ME TO ENTER THESE IN MY EXCEL SPREAD SHEET TO KEEP SCORE.
Please use the real team names when you enter your picks.
Hopefully the first poster will have the order right and everyone can follow after him/her.

#12 Harvard @ # 5 Dartmouth
#11 Colgate @ #6 SLU
#10 Clarkson @ #7 Brown
#9 Cornell @ #8 Princeton

Example Pick:

Dartmouth 2-0
SLU 2-1
Clarkson 2-0
Princeton 2-1

Re: ECAC Pick the Playoffs 2013

Not sure if you've met my friend Homer, he'd like to play. He always picks the home team to win (hence his name) and on neutral ice he always picks the higher seed. He understands he'll probably never win, but he takes consolation frm finishing ahead of most people.

Anyway, here are Homer's picks:

#12 Harvard @ # 5 Dartmouth 2-0
#11 Colgate @ #6 SLU 2-0
#10 Clarkson @ #7 Brown 2-0
#9 Cornell @ #8 Princeton 2-0

Thanks for letting Homer participate! :)

#10 Clarkson @ #7 Brown Clarkson 2-1
#9 Cornell @ #8 Princeton Cornell 2-0

Re: ECAC Pick the Playoffs 2013

Dartmouth, 2-0 over harvard? Because they can.
SLU, 2-1 Still can win w/o KF
Brown, 2-1 Still a TUC
Cornell, 2-1 Dangerous at this time of year

I take it we don't play as a team representative any longer?

#12 Harvard @ # 5 Dartmouth: Oh, heck, how about Dartmouth 2-1
#11 Colgate @ #6 SLU: SLU is a one line team. They don't have their one line, so I'll take the upset. Colgate 2-1
#10 Clarkson @ #7 Brown: You don't bet against Brown in the playoffs. Brown 2-1
#9 Cornell @ #8 Princeton: The return of Kepler's First Law of ECAC Hockey. Cornell 2-1

Correct no more teams. Too many people bail on the contest after the first round if their team is eliminated and this has a real negative effect on scoring.
