Well, if you expect the home team to win a majority of the time, then the only "trick" to beating Homer is to be able to pick which road team is going to win, when. I had a suspicion that merely picking the home team each time by rote would easily be in the top 10, probably top 7, and that is what we are seeing so far. It is an interesting experiment to see whether such a simplistic "strategy" can continue to place well throughout the whole season.

I"d never expect it to win compared to the best human handicapper; I would expect it to out-perform the majority of human handicappers (including, sigh, me...).


Anyway, thanks again for keeping track for us all!
