ECAC ALL-Stars VS US

Re: ECAC ALL-Stars VS US

The game itself takes place at the TD Arena on the scenic campus (ok, scenic top of the hill off-campus) of Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut on January 3rd. The event is sold out.

Funny you should ask about who is playing as I was having the same thought not too long ago .(I was trying to distract myself as I took my daily dose of vegetables, in this case broccoli. Man I hate green stuff)

I expect the ECAC roster will be announced any day now.

Sold out? Good thing you told me!

sold out? wow! I had hoped to go and never even considered that it would sell out- even the women's Frozen Four doesn't sell out. Darn.

I think you can "blame" the various youth hockey associations in Connecticut for buying up blocks of tickets. It will be a lot of fun for the kids to be in a banged out building and see and feel the atmosphere. (and fun for the players too)

Re: ECAC ALL-Stars VS US

any predictions for the roster?

One would think the U-22 Canadian roster has caused some complications. Tough timing of the game for the ECAC.

Some players would seem to be obvious, leading scorers, defenders, goaltenders etc. Not sure if it works that way.

The roster has been posted on the ECAC Web site. I would post it here but I'm on my BlackBerry.

Is there no one from dartmouth on this roster? weird!

First thing I noticed as well. VERY weird. Looks like Parsons and Trunzo - just to name two - got snubbed. They are averaging 1.4 and 1.3 points per game respectively.

Re: ECAC ALL-Stars VS US

No snubbing. Dartmouth and Brown both have non conference games that conflict.

Thanks for noting this. Otherwise, it would be hard to believe Dartmouth wouldn't have at least one reprsentative. Brown, not so much, I hear all of their good players were forced off the team. ;)

WOW! I'm speechless.

ECAC ALL-Stars VS US

Are you sure that's the case, Matt: Dartmouth & Brown not participating/eligible as to conflicting previously scheduled games? Odd. No precedent comes to mind. There is nothing on the Dartmouth web site saying as much. I would think they would publicize it (...why) so those needing to rush to judgement (such as Papulaisle, on occasion...) don't embarass themselves?

Are tournaments, featured games, All-Star games, etc., scheduled after teams have committed otherwise? Can easily begin myself alone to think of multiple problems resulting therefrom...should such a practice become standard.
