East Regional- Union vs Vermont & Quinnipiac vs Providence

gotta kindly disagree with you there. they play a very good style and are fun to watch. they play a pro style game and their top 3/4 D are as active as any. their breakout and transition game is very crisp.

fun to watch.

McGuire was an asst. coach at SLU under Joe Marsh for two years.

Union might be better this year, but so is BC. Obviously, Union is pretty freaking good and they deserved all the praise they've gotten this year. BC is scary when they're clicking. Gaudreau would look much better in black and white than maroon and gold. Because who wouldn't. ;)

I also find the EcAC/ Hockey East thing hilarious as BC and BU managed to win National Championships in years when the WCHA was miles better. It doesn't really matter at this stage...

Its pretty simple. If BC plays thier best game they are not losing, to anyone. They are the best team, there just isn't any doubt. I've seen them all.

However, teams don't always play thier best. Union is certainly good enough to beat BC if BC plays something below thier A game.

The UVM bashing going on now is absurd. They had a bad game, no doubt. But Union is very strong. This Vermont team that everyone from ECAC seems to think is so bad now because of one 5-2 loss to Union beat St. Lawrence twice, beat Clarkson, tied Yale, tied @ North Dakota, beat Lowell, lost by 1 @ Colgate, etc. Let's calm down. They were far from the class of the field, but a very legitimate #4 seed.

I completely disagree. BC can play their A game and still lose to Union. I hope they take your approach though because if they do they will get wiped off the ice like last year. I've seen Union play 5 times this year and they are as good if not better than any team in the country.

That's cool, we can agree to disagree. I was incredibly impressed with Union, they are a great team without a doubt.

I just think that when BC is going full speed on offence, they can't be stopped. No disrespect to any other NCAA team.

Well, we know for sure that Minnesota doesn't have a shot against BC. Here's hoping Union finds a way to trip them up.
