You assume everyone receives full amounts of financial aid. I am here to tell you that is not true in every scenario like you make it sound. Yes, some students receive a boat load of financial aid but they don't pass it out like you make it out to be. I know many athletes at Ivies whose parents pay most of it and they in no way shape or form can just shell out money like that. So you actually might be the delusional one.

You also forget that Union doesn't have scholarships and they sure as hell don't just give out money.

I'm glad all these arguments will be settled by some great hockey games on the ice rather than on this mess of a thread. :rolleyes:

As a HE fan I will say that I beleive that everything gets settled when teams strap'em up, not in chat rooms. If you beleive that, then I'd highlight that season to date HE is the only conference that has a winning record against all other conferences. Based on that its hard for me to accept we are not the best conference until it is proven on the ice (which certainly could happen this weekend.)

I would echo this. I remember the SLU teams of the late 80's. They were machines and the ECAC is stronger overall now. No argument from me that the league is a good. I think top to bottom HE is a bit stronger this year (note THIS year) but not by enough that I would bet on it. I am sure there will be years the ECAC is stronger top to bottom (just not the top teams). Parity is here .

Why... this is an internet forum, the purpose of which is to provide information between fans, and trash talk to opposing teams fans. It is independent of the actual results.

When I first saw the teams in this regional, I was pretty confident there would be little to no vitriol in this thread. Shows what I know.

One more area where HE is better then the ECAC... flamefests...

So is there a Union fan out there that is going to compare this years team and last years team or is everyone going to continue to do their best Rodney Dangerfield impressions?

The CHN bracket contest has 90% of the entries picking Union over UVM. Could 90% be wrong?

The only game in the bracket contest with a bigger spread is the Gophs over Bob (93%). Honestly, that one makes more sense. Yes, Union is a good team but UVM could pull it off.
