Ironically Munich has been re-evaluated by later historians and is now considered to have been a valid strategy to give the Brits time to spin up. There's a much more nuanced view of the outcome, as well.
My Czech ancestry bristles at this, but the old chestnut we were raised on about appeasement isn't a slam dunk anymore.
Though obviously there is not a single Republican remaining alive capable of understanding either the event or these distinct analyses of it.
