Dump Term 2, 1.01: Sleep Now in the Fire

We're half a century from being able to temporarily base the southern lunar pole where tiny amounts of water and Helium 3 is. Mars is 100+ years away and I'd rather deal with Titan if I'm going to imagine colonizing in this Solar System.

We barely inhabit areas like Greenland, Siberia, and Antarctica. All are infinitely more hospitable than the moon or mars.
 
I want to say that this is something that I'm not opposed to. Electronic transactions would still have the penny amount. But cash transactions would be rounded to the nickle. I believe Canada (and other countries) already do this.

I'm fine with things like this, the elimination of DST, removing poison chemicals from food (Red40). What I don’t want is these things to come at the cost this administration is doing with *gestures broadly*... a constitutional crisis so he can be richer isn't worth an extra year on my life. Especially when they're just gonna find other ways to kill us all.

Well, I'd like to care about all the cancer trial folks who are now being pulled off, or denied care. But, I don't. This is what they voted for. And Pepfar? For Africa? Please. I do not care.
 
Oh, and just a reminder. The Courts are standing up but once Dump and his cronies start defying the Courts the Courts recourse is to dispense the US Marshall service to uphold the law. The US Marshall's work for the Justice Department. And who is in charge of the Justice Department? Donald J Trump.

It's over. It was cute to be a democracy for a while. Now it's done.

Yes, Canada has done this for a number of years now.

Getting rid of the penny in America has been talked about for years.
 
Also so cute to see a media outlet doing a story (actually, pointing out a print media story) about how this isn't the Donald Trump America elected.

And then Fareed Zakaria telling everyone on another media outlet that there is a COST to all this chaos.

1. This is who America elected.
2. No one cares. If they did 1 would not have happened.

I'm just so happy the billionaire's are finally getting the government they always wanted.

The New York Times over the weekend attacked the "Anti-Trans" movement (a fire they have thrown gasoline on for years) and went nuts on Trump. Back in the day I would have said it was a "Come to Jesus" moment but now we all know it is just a cynical ploy to try and get Liberals to read their rag again because their right shift gamble burned them hard. Kissing up to Trump and MAGA got them to lose subscriptions and they weren't even able to hold on to the access they had as they have been pulled from Pentagon briefings. If they didn't have their games (which I refuse to play as it helps them even when they are "free") they would be almost as broke as CNN is...which is still better than MSNBC I guess but not by much.

What's sad is, the Dems are openly talking about focusing on the Center...they just never learn. The Center doesn't need to be coddled and the more you ignore the rest of your tent in hopes of winning over people that change votes on a whim the more likely you are to keep losing. (we will assume for now there is elections in 2/4 years) It is time to purge the Obama/Clinton Doctrine and represent all people...not just random White People in Battleground States.
