Not relevant. He is responsible for what is in his body. And to further expound on this, he is free to sue the manufacturer for fraud and try to recoup any losses he claims, but he also took a non-NSF supplement when explicitly directed that was a bad idea. Either way, he is directly responsible for the banned substance being in his body.
2. How messed up is the NCAA that they suspend a player and its for 6 months starting out of season? If you are going to suspend a player then make it during their season. Idiotic.
Pay attention. The NCAA didn't suspend him.
