Drop the puck already! Ni****ing at NMU, 10/3/10

Re: Drop the puck already! Ni****ing at NMU, 10/3/10

Interview with the Nipissing coach:

Nipissing playing their 3rd game in 3 days, and due to injury will only be dressing 3 lines. Ouch.

Lakers' coach thinks highly of what they saw last night at Tech.

Stone is 3rd string goalie--the first and second are each out due to injury and family illness, respectively.
Captain Ryan Maunu and Connor O'Donnell will be sitting out tonight due to injury (Maunu) and suspension (O'Donnell).

Interview with Walt:

-Getting to the CCHA Championship game last year was great for the team, but last year was last year.

-Proud of what they've accomplished, but we've lost a definite core of our team, and the team this year is young. The talent is there though to repeat last year's success.

This game is used to:
-evaluate players and lines
-chance to brush up on tactics and dry run game procedures
-conditioning--nothing gets you in shape for a game like a game

Re: Drop the puck already! Ni****ing at NMU, 10/3/10

NMU should be plowing right through these guys (and it seems they are). They're tired, bloody, and not used to the Olympic-sized sheet. Maunu and O'Donnell were a big part of their efforts in Houghton last night.

Re: Drop the puck already! Ni****ing at NMU, 10/3/10

Fox with the goalpost hit.

The Canadians starting fights, but the Wildcats holding back in the interest of playing on Friday.

Re: Drop the puck already! Ni****ing at NMU, 10/3/10

Discussion of the Ludwig family hockey legacy
CJ is playing for NMU, his older brothers play for Western and Providence, and dad played for UND and did a pro stint.

Re: Drop the puck already! Ni****ing at NMU, 10/3/10

Vigier and Nugent getting shots, but Stone is looking stronger as he warms up.

Re: Drop the puck already! Ni****ing at NMU, 10/3/10

CCHA now has 3 "media" timeouts per game, evening things out between televised games at the bigger schools and the non-televised games at the smaller schools.

Re: Drop the puck already! Ni****ing at NMU, 10/3/10

Having some feed issues... I think I heard we're at 4-0, with Gron getting the goal with the assist from Macaulay.
