Yes. It was announced in the Lodge a bit ago (NO FACEBOOK PLEASE). Due in late January. Wasn't exactly our plan, but it is a blessing. S/he is referred to as Rube(tte)V.2. :D

And she said I could have her KBS. :D
Congrats man! That's awesome! :D

No dice on the KBS last night. It's shown on beermenus.com as available a couple of other places nearby (both updated more recently than the entry for the place I went last night), including on draft at one of them (which appears to have had a Founders event since there are seven Founders beers on tap). And, I'm "working from home" tomorrow since my office is being repainted, so I think a trip might be in order.

KBS on tap with lunch at a bar that was having a Founders tap takeover. So that was fun. :)

Perfect day outside right now, have the day off, and nothing to do. I might just crack one of mine right now. It'd be tough to top these conditions right now.

Its too humid and too hot.

I bought some more bombers today. Because, why not.

Not even. Just enough of a breeze here to ease the feel of the humidity. I could go for a good Mojito, though.

I found the North Country Brunette. I think I must have just missed it the last time I was at Northgate. Might try that this weekend.

Also picked up a bottle of Pentagram for the bachelor party. Got a bottle of Love Child #4, a bottle of Badger Hill Chocolate Cherry Dunkel, and a 6er of Milk Stout Nitro.

The bombers I want to drink at the bachelor part are: Surly Darkness, Deschutes The Abyss, Even More Jesus, and Pentagram.

For your shindig: yum, meh (I think it's overrated), yum, all the nopes.

Might pick up the Lucid LSD for the shindig to share. Not sure if I'll like it, so it'd be perfect in this scenario.

Love Child #4

Just cracked this. A little tart, a little sour, and just a hint of fruitiness. I think PBS would love it, and you'd like it a lot. It's ok in my book, but don't think I'd buy it again. It is very drinkable, though.

We've had LSD, we thought it was good, but it was unlike anything I've had before. I'd recommend trying it just to see, since it is so different.

We had the #3, and we have a #4 in the fridge, probably to crack tonight. I think this will be right up our alley.

Let me get this straight... You impregnated her just to steal her KBS?

Love Child #4 is an excellent sour beer. I am very surprised that Brent kinda liked it, as it is about as much of a sour beer as you can get.

Speaking of milk stout... left hand tap takeover at the local "world of beer" franchise... had it on bottle before, lot better on tap... only had the nitro but they had both available.

I kinda liked it. "Kinda" being the operative word. I had a pint out of the 25 oz, and that was enough. Poured out the rest. And IMO, the New Belgium was more sour, and the Pentagram smelled even MORE sour than the NB.

Re: Drinking Thread: Beer, Whiskey, Rum, Vodka, Wine - Raise a Glass, All Are Welcome

Finally drank my Surly Darkness (don't worry mel, I had 2 bottles, so there is still one waiting for you). Figured that the bachelor party was as good of a time as any.

Re: Drinking Thread: Beer, Whiskey, Rum, Vodka, Wine - Raise a Glass, All Are Welcome

Got to try Breckenridge Vanilla Porter Nitro and Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro yesterday for the USA match... Both were on tap...

I was pleasantly surprised with the Nitro tap experience.... It took the existing flavors and seemed to make them more vivid... Pretty significant difference from the normal versions of these beers... This is something I will be seeking out if presented with the opportunity in the future...

Also, the place we were at has 72 beers on tap
