Drew Magary Memorial Asymmetrical Rivalry Thread

Re: Drew Magary Memorial Asymmetrical Rivalry Thread

I'm curious about the wild and where we stand in the eyes of Blackhawk fans.

Re: Drew Magary Memorial Asymmetrical Rivalry Thread

Okay, now what about the Red Wings?

That's a tough one. Taking into account the full franchise history, I would say it's either:

Modern

Avs - Wings (Blackhawks)

or

Traditional

Blackhawks - Wings (Leafs)

That said, Toronto probably looks at it like:

Wings or Sens - Leafs (Canadiens)

and Montreal looks at it like:

Leafs - Canadiens (Bruins)

Here's my question, are there any chain rivalries?

Team a - team b (team c (team d))
or
Team a - team b (team c - team d (team e))

The line from Wings/Sens/Sabres to Leafs to Canadiens (maybe to Bruins) might be the closest I can think of.

Depends on who Habs fans think is their chief rival.

Re: Drew Magary Memorial Asymmetrical Rivalry Thread

The UND/Minnesota/WI trivalry is complicated by the fact that you have to add a fourth team to get a full understanding. Neither UND nor WI has ever beaten the real Minnesota.
