Multiple locations for drinks after the game.
Listing them: Old Chicago 1111 Harney A fair number of UNO fans go there after games (though Thurs may be less well attended)
Farrell's Bar is the closest to the Qwest. They are offering your first Pint beer for 1cent with a ticket stub after games this weekend.
On 10th Street; The Stadium Club and Mr. Toad.

There are multiple others. Irish Pub, Hotel bars, lots of good dining... Kinda depends on what your mood is and what you are looking for.

I'm from Michigan and have spent a fair amount of time in the U.P. as well. All the places I named have a relaxed feel.

During the game, I recommend the South End Lemonaid Stand (Near Section 110) ($6 24oz PBR, Old Milwaukee cans or 22oz draft Bush Light and sometimes Coors Light.) One of the better deals in the Qwest Center. (There's also a stand with a number of independent brewers available for those with a more refined taste. Secton 116)

Depending on how hard Blais worked the boys after the two game sweep last weekend...

I expect the Mav's to come out fast and attack like you haven't seen yet this year. I don't know the Tech style of hockey, and reading your threads hasn't told me much but that the team is in a bit of a funk. That, I hope/believe will continue this (almost) weekend.

Mav's have been aggressive, relatively quick, physical (and taken penalties to prove it). I'm really looking forward to the games.

Tech plays the trap primarily. They are very big, could be the biggest in college hockey.We skate at least 8 freshmen. There are 4 guys from the opening day roster not playing right now for whatever reason. Tech is highly penalized but a lot of those came in one game against UMD.

I don't really know what Tech plays anymore, but whatever it is, we don't do it well. A "bit of a funk" would be an understatement. It's more like a funk that's lasted about three seasons. :p

Penalties you say? We like them too. Hope Thul isn't one of the zebras, or we could be in for a lot of special teams play.

That makes it almost worth it to go to the game, its too bad that Tech hockey will be going on at the same time.

sounds more like a nodak sticker to me but whatever.

It's deserved, trust us.

My prediction is that either the red Mavs come out firing and we'll already be down 4-0 at the end of the first, or we'll be in the game until the start of the third, when we'll give up and have an epic collapse. Bold, I know. :p

I picked up 4, count them, 4 UNO players for my fantasy team tonight. And I'm starting Faulkner in goal. Tech better roll over and die. :p

I can see it right now. Tech loses 7-5, ensuring that I get destroyed in the goalie category, with a hat trick from Purslow, who I used to have on my team, but dropped, and nothing from the other 4 guys I picked up from UNO.

If the JMSIA, we might actually have some fans show up to a game....

Hell you could sell beer for $4-5 and the attendance would more than double
