There is hope, the Mavericks were only able to get 1 goal on BSU this past weekend.

Given the state of this team, I'll be surprised if the entire team gets back on the bus to go back to Houghton.

edit: is anyone actually driving to that hellhole to watch ****ty hockey and spend time in a ****ty town in the middle of nowhere? Added bonus, you might actually get to see this team implode completely and get in a brawl on their own bench!

BSU out-worked, out-hustled and out goaltended them most of the weekend (even though BSU was accused of being a trapping team by some). The only time there was a change to that was the first 10 minutes of the second period on Saturday night, when UNO controlled things. Otherwise it was mostly BSU on the weekend.

Yager will be present. Although bbdl has blocked Yager and cannot read this. Huskyfan is supposedly going, as well. Anyone else going?

As I hinted in the last scoring thread, I would go just for the entertainment value of sending Russell a complete bill for the trip after we're swept something like 8-2 and 6-0. But since it's unlikely that I'd actually be reimbursed for anything except maybe tickets, there's no way I'm driving 14+ hours from Detroit.

I don't expect too many UNO fans around here, since they have their own board just like the CC fans.

The dates in your title are off, Twitch. The schedule says 9th/10th.

Any idea why this is a Thurs/Fri series?

Yeah, this is a Thur/Fri series. Not sure why, but I think I remember reading the reason back when the Tech schedule was being speculated on if someone remembers of wants to go back and look.

Creighton basketball was already scheduled for Saturday.

First, I could get you comp tickets. Second, it is less than 12 hours and it actually shorter of a drive than from Houghton.

Here's a tip for dealing with UNO:

When they throw the fish on the ice after their first goal, have someone put a slapshot on it and go top shelf... UNO loves it when that happens :D

Will the UNO students be in town or is it finals week like it is at Tech. Meaning as soon as the last final is over they all take off.

Seriously, If anyone who posts on this board is coming to town, I'd be glad to provide info on the city, places to stay, drink, meet up at the Thursday game.

I will be in town. Not sure where I will be staying or what I will be doing.
