Re: Dr. Clayton Forrester's Science Roundup

Thanks for triggering my PDS.

I wasn't entirely sure what PDS stood for so I googled it. The fifth possible match on the first page was "penile Doppler study". Just thought you'd want to know.

Edit: I realized what it meant as soon as I started typing this reply. :D :o

Re: Dr. Clayton Forrester's Science Roundup

She's the personification of a cognitive deficiency.

The stupid are too stupid to know they are stupid.

I used to think she was kind of brilliant in a sense. She stuck her nose into politics just enough to cash in. Then she made a dash for the vault and a quick exit from politics. It was brilliantly timed. Or so I thought. Well, maybe that's still true, but now she's causing more damage than her entertainment value. People actually believe her. A lot of people.

She may be smarter than the character she may be playing, but it's getting harder for me to believe that. She's a useless idiot.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume she's not good with money. There's a sucker born every minute, although that's a slight exaggeration of Bristol's fecundity.

Today in I needed a laugh:

Someone went on Gaiam (yoga workouts) Facebook page to complain that their yoga mat is made of chemicals.

Not at birth. If you want to get cut when you're aware, then by all means.

Disagree. Parents make all sorts of decisions for their kids, medically and otherwise, that have long lasting if not permanent effects. If my kid ends up being a boy, he's getting circumcised. He won't remember a thing and he'll be at less risk for UTIs and STDs down the road.

I'm a little suspect on the UTI risk justification. Ear tubes are a similarly routine procedure and similarly reduce the risk of infections, but we don't have those put in before infections actually develop into a problem. I suspect the main difference is little more than the lack of historical baggage.

Far more importantly, without that snip he'll be getting far fewer blow jobs. Girls aren't fans of peeling the banana.

Eurotrash girls aren't fans of Americans who've given the pip the snip. They think it's weird and, in some circles, I think there's a latent anti-Semitism to their preference.

The preference all depends upon from which land you hail. With modern hygiene there's no real greater risk for UTIs in the boy, so long as he's taught, like any child taking shop, to properly clean his tool. As to STDs, I can't speak to that, but it should be covered with a jimmy hat.
