Re: Dr. Clayton Forrester's Science Roundup

Yesterday, Gawker posted an article with the title "The Food Babe is Full of Sh-t."

I started to figure out that she was full of it after she posted (and removed) a post saying "pilots control the air in the plane and that passengers are sprayed with pesticides before boarding."

Holy ****. People actually believed her tripe?

Re: Dr. Clayton Forrester's Science Roundup

I hate that dumb people make that much money.

Ok, that's not entirely true or fair. But I hate that people who are self proclaimed experts who have zero actual education can make that much money.

Aye. I have friends in my news feed trying to sell me MLM products, claiming they will make me lose weight, feel great, and have better sex. None of these people are experts, but have had their capacity for logic and reason stripped away and replaced by their company line.

Actually, I hate the uneducated followers more. The people out to make that money? I hate 'em, but hey, they are scamming the stupid and making a living. More power to 'em. I wouldn't do it, but if they are morally okay with it, more power to 'em.

Meh. World history is the struggle of a few big brains to keep from being drowned by a sea of small brains. Twas ever thus. For every Augustine there are a million Monicas.

Or when she wrote this :)

"There is just no acceptable level of any chemical to ingest ever."

She'd be horrified to learn that I'm drinking a tall glass of dihydrogen monoxide mixed with sodium bicarbonate, and dissolved carbon dioxide gas.

According to her, if you cannot pronounce it, you should not consume it.

I assume you have all of those listed covered as far as pronunciation so you should be good. Get a degree in chemistry and you can have a much more varied diet!

Too late for me. I'm 5 years into a lifetime of corporate IT hell, complete with a master's degree. :)

She'd also be calling you a Big Shill for Monsanto among other things. Hell, pointing out water has chemicals gets you banned from her page.

I'm no expert in railway route planning, but I would have thought that if you find yourself having to cross the world's highest mountain range, you would want to look for the lowest point...not the highest.

You're obviously not a Communist.
