Chatting with the aunt of one of the Harvard players today at the Harvard-Team Russia game today. She said she had been told that Ms Dumais had a broken collarbone. It looked like the poor girl was in a huge amount of pain when she was on the ice. Hope she heals quickly! Camile - if you read this: Get Well Soon!!

Dartmouth took the second game of the weekend against Maine, 4-2. Yesterday's effort was a 6-1 score, with Camille Dumais gaining 4 points, including a hattrick. She also scored a goal today.

Good on her. I take it earlier reports on a very serious injury after the Harvard turned out to be not as bad as some suggested. Good to see her back in the lineup.

Great, great wins coming in along here. I tol' you, Camille, our wonderful new College President might/would make it even as he is so busy*, to be there to cheer you on. And, Bravo! Didn't you return his, that, salute, if I may, with another- A N O T H E R- hat trick. So fine, so v e r y fine! Bravo...Bravisimo!

We roll, O, HOW WE ROLL, GREEN! :p!

*"With the new President of Dartmouth College, Philip Hanlon, in attendance the Green upped their Ivy League record to 4-2-0."

You GOT to admire that, "Veritas"! May be I need to change my Forum name to, say, something like, "Vox Clematis"? Sounds like a mixer. May be we get some local John Harvard's to Thompson for the game Feb. 1. I think I do recall some from years past- and welcome they surely are. I hope to be there. You likely will know me- a biggish fellow, on his feet- who cheers! :p

Wish I could make it up to Thompson. One of my favorite collegiate rinks. Great site lines. Sounds like Camille Dumais is back and healthy which is always good. Jo Pucci is doing well and is looking forward to returning next season. As is Marissa Gedman who is well on her way to a full recovery. Good news for Crimson fans, bad news for the rest of the ECAC.

Yes, it is bad for ECAC but so good to hear players recuperating fully. Thanks, Skate for update [your women impressive- to some, I hear; maybe you get gold back east (if we, Green, do not..), THAT IS the e a s t e r n challenge!] :( Green in North Country. Brrr, exponentially methinks from here along Long Island Sound where it is even cool-ish at 6 degrees F, currently.

Might we go H. and D. when, when it be a little warmer there on the Canadian Shield... Hmm? Guess not.

Our beloved Coach has great record re Golden Knights...less so, at times, maybe, re a sometimes competitive Larries team (bet w. my brother a former skater for SLU; Yikes, Bob! He wants 'points'! Yikes, bro. Is that, 'early line'? Will be a night- two nights (knights, after all...) of work, work, work.
Is so in the best games. :p

Go Green Go!

Do Green and Crimson utilize same bus service wonder? I have vision of two, 'ships', passing, "roaa-arrr", in the night/morning frigid air on a lonely wind/snow swept north country turnpike...maybe we (Dartmouth) toot! "Toot Toot!" We good sports, after all!

Go Dartmouth Women! GO!
(As Casey said- "My Mets, which is amazin.." I agree, Case, "My Dartmouth Women's Ice Hockey Team, which iz, equally- amaz-zin!)
:D

Some, 'bumps', for Green in North Country. Everyone has these.
How else are ya gonna learn, huh?

I understand these two women's ice hockey teams (SLU, Clarkson) yet to come and play the Green at Dartmouth, in Hanover, New Hampshire- there along the Connecticut River in the Upper Valley?
Hmm.

Yeah!
:p

Hope and don't know, but best match will have all Harvard players present, Friday. Have feeling can't be, currently- as to injury predations. Again wish speedy full recovery! :D

Is a great group this year visiting from Boston, we think.
Wel-come.:p

BUT SO ARE WE!
Go Green Go!

Re: DOWN FROM THE HILLS THEY COME!!!...Dartmouth Big Green women's ice hockey, 2012-1

After being behind by two, Green has fought back- is now 2-2 in second at Thompson!

Re: DOWN FROM THE HILLS THEY COME!!!...Dartmouth Big Green women's ice hockey, 2012-1

A very unsatisfying tie from a Crimson perspective. Holdcroft played well but we did a very poor job in transition. There were times during the game where we stood around and let Dartmouth take the play to us. Green wanted this game more than we did for some reason. Hope this tie doesn't come back to haunt us in terms of finishing first overall.

Dartmouth was never behind by two. They were behind 2-1 until the refs decided to impose their will on the game leading to Stacy's power play goal.

Yeah that tie pretty much requires a complete review of that detailed prediction model (see reference below) recently posted in the ECAC playoff prediction thread. :D

Of course, we are not likely to see the H-Co and H-Cl games both resulting in ties (that is almost like the statistical fallacy of saying that the average American citizen is 49% male and 51% female), so as a second approximation let's look at the four permutations of those two games, assuming no ties.

Right you are -- gonna update the post over there is a few minutes.

Re: DOWN FROM THE HILLS THEY COME!!!...Dartmouth Big Green women's ice hockey, 2012-1

Dartmouth prevailed over Yale tonight 4-2. Yale scored first in the 1st period, but Dartmouth answered with 2 in the second, and 2 in the 3rd period, the last goal being an empty netter. Shots per live stats 49-17 in favor of Dartmouth.
