DIII Posters' POTW for the week of 1/11-1/17

Nate LePage, Siena '13
3 Games, 3 Goals, 3 Assists, 6 Points. That's how Colin MacCormack's week went, as he helped the Bowdoin Polar Bears to a 2-1 week, only losing to #2 Norwich University. More impressive, however, is the manner in which he scored the goals: 2 of those 3 goals, both against DII St. Michael's College, came with the Polar Bears a man down. Because of this outstanding performance of skill and awareness of the game, as short-handed goals are always the result of, Colin MacCormack has been named the DIII Posters' Player of the Week for the week of 1/4-1/10. Congratulations to Colin.

And now, for the week of 1/11-1/17...

Because of the tight voting caused by a record number of nominees, I think it necessary to make a slight rule change. Starting this week, Only 1 nominee per poster will be allowed. I don't foresee this being too great an issue, but it will certainly help to prevent the issue from arising again.

For this week, we are once again opening nominations until a later time, in order to allow fair access to the posters. Nominations will be open until 11pm ET Monday.

Let the nominations begin!

I nominate Bobby Leiser of Fitchburg State.

In 159:36 of action over three games, he stopped 106 of 109 shots. This gives him a .972 SV% and 1.128 GAA for the week.

I would like to nominate Kyle Watson of the Adrian Bulldogs who scored a hat trick in the third period of Adrian's 7-1 win at MSOE on Friday evening. He also had an assist in the first period for a total of 4 points for the game.

Re: DIII Posters' POTW for the week of 1/11-1/17

Honestly I guess I should be surprised it took this long for the Stout alias ballot stuffing to occur so blatantly.

Right now the only Stout player nominated has 9 votes after, arguably, the most mediocre weekend of all the players nominated.

As I said in the poll thread, I think we should ban Stout players from being nominated unless they are done so by a clear-headed, unbiased individual who doesn't cream their pants over the mediocre Blue Devils.

Just takes all the fun out of something that one poster puts his free time into for the board to enjoy.
