Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

This might end up being a one game series. Snow and rain today, sleet and rain tomorrow.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

Well, they started the game, but only the Yankees showed up for this one.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

And Ausmus didn't see the end of it. I think he was cold, and wanted to go inside. Frankly, the way Pelfrey pitched, I don't blame him.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

No game today. Apparently it's miserable in April in the midwest.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

7-4 loss to Pit. Bad start for JV, McCann got hurt running to first. Collided with the first baseman but actually sprained his ankle before that stepping on the bag.

7-3 over Pittsburgh. Now 5-2 on the season. Still not sure they're a legit contender this season, but at least they're not the Twins.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

How on earth does Salty not catch that?!? Upton had the runner thrown out by 20 feet.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

5-0 KC now in the 3rd. Greene's walking everyone in the house tonight, and he's near 70 pitches. I think we can all go watch Deadliest Catch or whatever for the rest of the night.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

When does Norris get back? Greene AND Pelfrey is too much.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

Greene was all right...until tonight.

That got Victor right on his bad knee.

Pinch run for him. Right now.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

I guess not. We don't need the go-ahead run.

EDIT: Romine comes in. Good move.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

No way in the world that should be a hit. Iggy booted that one.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

Welp, we've made this a 5-out inning so far. Let's see how many runs this costs us.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

Nice piece of pitching from Zimmerman to get through that unscathed.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

Lowe puts the fire out in the 7th, and Zimmerman still has a clean sheet for 2016.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

I think we've found Daddy Avila's first mistake as GM.

3-2 final.

We've got a major hole at the back half of the bullpen.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

Pro move by the Tiger bats not wasting any runs on a night that Pelfrey is starting.
