Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

That little 410 foot bomb doesn't exactly make me feel warm inside with VerHagen.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

That's two major errors from Kinsler tonight. The first one didn't cost us. I'm scared to see how much this one will.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

That's strange, because Morris has done his share of color work in the past, with the Twins.

I like Morris's insight, especially since he has adjusted and started to speak up.

Both he and Gibby have gotten much better as the season has gone on, but Morris just cuts every fun bit short with some awkward line.

This game is never going to end. We're going to run through the entire bullpen and end up trying to pinch hit with Verlander.

That hasn't been especially stellar, though simply being bad is a step up from what the Twins usually have.

It's comical how difficult this is for the Tigers right now.

At this rate Verlander might have to pitch the 9th.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Tip of the cap to both Iglesias and, more importantly, VerHagen for getting out of that unscathed.

We need about 5 more runs now.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

We've got a 4 run lead, and our bullpen is shot. For God's sake, a starter (Boyd) was warming up in the pen last half-inning. I think I let VerHagen hit if his spot comes up in the 8th.

Castellanos has 12 total bases tonight.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Ohhh, I thought Victor had a 2-run shot there when he hit it.

J.D.!!

15-7, top 9

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

If you go 0-4 in this game, maybe you need to go back to AA-Erie.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Don't know if anybody caught the article in the Detroit News this morning, but Larry Parrish is retiring at the end of the Mud Hens season. He's 62 and he's had enough.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Maybe we should have a position player pitch the 9th, too.

And that didn't look on Gose's part there, either.

15-8 final.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Tigers will be in 2nd place within a matter of days. Probably not the preseason expectation tho.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Norris and Sanchez both to the DL.

This is going to be a mess.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

It was at least fun to pretend we still had a shot only out 4.5 in the WC. Now we don't even get to pretend.
