MIGGY!!

5-4 Stros, top 7.

Had Iggy not just gotten buttholed on a called 3rd strike, this would be tied.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Oh, and let's put more mics in the dugouts. Great idea, fellas.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

That's a bad piece of hitting from Rasmus there. New reliever that goes 3-0 on you, and you take a hack at 3-0 and pop out to end the inning. Not good.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Gorzelanny was trying to go inside? The **** ball was almost in the left-handed batter's box. He only missed his target by about 3 feet!

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

And now Altuve....

I can't even finish the **** sentence before Altuve gets cattle-driven into the outfield by his teammates, Rod Allen style, after the game winning hit.

Only two open bases and the leading hit-getter since 2011 at the plate. What was Ausmus supposed to do, walk him?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Tornado watch and rain in the forecast all night long tonight. Being that it's interleague, this one might finish very late or they may have to try to fit in two tomorrow.

Hopefully they somehow get this in, 5-2 right now and Tigers bats are on fire.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

This ain't gonna count

If it doesn't, then "Let's play two!" tomorrow, because the only other shared off day is September 24. We're both on homestands then so it would only require a small side trip in between series for Detroit.

That or the Cubs play a two-team double header on the 31st, because that's the only day we're off and they're at home.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Gorzelanny in the 3rd after the rain delay.

Good idea. Use him up early. That way he can't **** up the end of the game.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Buck Farmer at the plate. I'm not sure he knows which end of the bat to hold when he gets there.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Holy ****. A sharp single right back through the box. On a 1-2 count, no less.

I am thoroughly impressed.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

I have no idea why I ever think I can turn my attention away from a game because a lead is safe.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

The Tigers balked in a run because a pitch got stuck inside McCann's helmet. I.....did not know that was a rule.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

I don't think I'd be in a hurry to test Schwarber again. He acts like he knows what he's doing in left field.
