Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Jeff Jones needs to be stuck in whichever grave you're digging Lopez out of.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

The manner in which this team blows games is ridiculous.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Ausmus said he was saving Wilson for extras and not going to use Soria, when asked about a situation in the 8th, when they were up by two.

You're down 11 games in the division, why are you focusing on extras when it's entirely possible the game won't even go to extras?

Oh well. As I said last night, at least we can start selling now.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

I just posted this on the Detroit News:

Who's starting the 2016 opener? Better yet, who's our #3 starter, as we sit here right now? I don't like that answer. That's why we sell.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

You can't give the other team 4 outs an inning, 8-run lead or otherwise.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

So...we're shelling this pitching staff. We've got 17 runs in 14 innings. And it's a coin flip that we might get one game out of these last two.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

The Tigers are like some poor fat bastard type who thought they could handle a bike ride around Mackinac Island after eating a half pound of fudge, only to realize that halfway around the Island that it wasn't such a good idea between the chaffing and their grumbly bowels. If its not one thing its another.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Cheer up Tigers fans! You're headed to Boston to play the Red Sox, a team flailing even more than the Tigers are! I'll be there Friday, should be an awesome game. Except for the awesome part.

Verlander vs Porcello tomorrow night at Fenway.

This might be a ping-pong score tomorrow night. First one to 21, win by 2.

Verlander will throw a 5 hit shutout. Porcello will demonstrate why he was traded. Farrell / Cherington are on thin ice.

Verlander won't be quite himself, but will Verlander his way through 7 innings of 5-hit ball and the Tigers will stake him to an 8-2 lead. Then Ausmus will break out a Ouija board to decide who to pitch for each batter in the 8th and 9th and you'll walkoff 11-10.

*stacks sandbag*

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

And Ausmus/Dombrowski aren't? DD is in the final year of his deal, too.

Verlander might throw a 5-hitter, but there still may be a 5-run inning in there as well.
