Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

So, today Castellanos got hit in the face and seven cars were on fire in the parking lot, and we STILL aren't in any of the trade rumor stories.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

It now takes 45-26 to get us to 90 wins.

Oh, and Mike Ilitch turns 86 in about 40 minutes. This is what he gets for his birthday.

sounds like a rejected idea for a scene from Major League. Just need a drunk Bob Uecker calling the action.

Oh, Dear Lord. Fernando Rodney done went and channeled his inner Jose Valverde. Check out his hair.

KINSLER!!!

1-0, 2 batters in.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

One foot higher, and that's a grand slam to dead center.

Simon is a mess. I'm not sure he's salvageable. They're just teeing off on him.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Holy hell. That only scored two? I figured for sure that would clear the bases.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

And somehow, some way, we've got the lead again.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Was Gibson always this bad at commentating, or is it the Parkinson's acting up?

You can tell he has these ideas he wants to share but either dumbs them down way too much or can't figure out how to say it smoothly.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

When the Tigers sucked and he was working with Josh Lewin, he was funny at times. This is not how he used to work as a color man.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

I think he's out but I don't think we're getting that overturned.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

I'm not a fan of Gibson. I thought simon was better than the last few but that's not saying a lot. I'm not ready to be sellers, because we have some good parts, but verlander?, well maybe he can go to the bull pen.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

How about we just pencil Omar Vizquel into the lineup? 48 isn't that old.

I'd pencil him in to be the interim manager.

As for Gibby, this is a shell of what he used to be like as a color guy. It's tough to listen to at times.

Simon is a perfect candidate for the bullpen. The first half of last year was the only time in his career he was successful as a starter. After the All Star game the wheels came careening off, after everybody had seen him once or twice.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

We'll Pete Rose it and make him player-manager. Minus the gambling.

Wasn't there some joking that turned into "well, maybe..." about V-Mart player-managing?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

He could probably play third without getting his face caved in.
