2-1 final.

Price made it dicey in the 9th, but he got us through. CG with 106 pitches.

6-4 final.

Somehow we got a split out of all this.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

26 games in, starting to look like the tigers won't be the total dumpster fire we thought they would be.

AVILA!!

2-1, top 2.

Off Melky's glove and into the bullpen. He gets a homer light, I guess.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

That's a variation of the neighborhood play, boys. Ausmus was wise to get back in the dugout and be quiet.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Greene can't get out of the 3rd. He's been getting hit much harder as of late.

V-MART!!

3-1, top 3

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

That was not an eephus pitch. That was just a figment of my imagination.

Simon has mixed in a couple of those this year.

In his last start, he also channeled Jeremy Bonderman by checking on a runner on second base six times, then letting him walk home when he served up a meatball to the batter , who crushed it for a double off the wall.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Aw, Christ. Castellanos boots one, and then Joba gives up a cannon shot to tie it.

6-6 in the 8th. I'm going to bed before the roof completely caves in.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Get this fat **** out of here before it's 10-6.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Ugh. We stake Price to a 4-0 lead, and all of a sudden the wheels come flying off in the 4th.

Also, Castellanos's throw. Wilt Chamberlain couldn't have caught that with a rake.

6-5 final.

A walk-off bunt that was not a squeeze.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Avila to the DL with a knee issue, unrelated to his forearm injury that kept him out yesterday.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

3-0 in the 2nd and I can already see that it's going to be a great afternoon to go mow the lawn and do anything other than watch this game.
