Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

If Nick charged that we might've had a chance at home, and with this bullpen I'd like to not give up runs, but I guess if it leaves bases open with two outs that's fine.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Never mind the bullpen. If Simon get out out of there with a reasonable stint and not give up a 7-spot, that's probably progress.

Camera crews with "The Show" camera angle on that homer. Don't think I've ever seen that on a real telecast.

Mario: Did you see how far he hit that one?

NO, MARIO WE DIDN'T UNTIL ABOUT 30 SECONDS LATER BECAUSE YOUR CAMERA CREW WAS ****ING AROUND WITH NEW ANGLES INSTEAD OF BRINGING US THE GOD****ED GAME!! WE ALREADY KNOW WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE TO RUN TO FIRST BASE!!

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Gotta love Gibby as he tries to watch his language on the air. :D

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

He's walking around funny, boys. That's not a blister.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

I'm mildly surprised that they didn't go get Alex Wilson. They use him in every other situation.

Oh, never mind. There he is. Throwing in the pen.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Maybe I should go grocery shopping in the 7th inning more often.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

KC is the only AL team that is going to reach 90 wins this year. But there's no way the Tigers get to the 85 or whatever it's going to take to make the playoffs.

Minnesota is the 2nd WC team right now. They're on pace to win 87.75.

Somebody's gonna make a big move and get hot. If any team wants the WC, they better plan on at least 90 wins.

Watching Tom Gage give his speech at the Hall of Fame. Just confirms that the Detroit News fired the wrong baseball writer last winter.

He was on Morning Edition on NPR a few days ago. They made the News look awful, which they are. Just nice for a nationwide audience to find out too.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

The Detroit News has run off a few others as well, that do not immediately come to mind. One they are trying to get rid of now is Terry Foster, which would actually be an improvement.

BTW, the Free Press isn't any better.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Oh, certainly not. Journalism as a whole isn't that great anymore. The internet world has turned it into being professional click-bait trolls. I'm just glad Drew Sharp doesn't have their AP vote anymore for college football.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

I can only think of one reason Drew Sharp is still employed by the Freep.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

If it has the initials AA, possibly.

But it could just be that he gets hits. His articles usually gets tons of comments, which I assume also means tons of hits, because he always takes the negative view on a team. The Big Ten can't be good because they don't get big wins. Michigan State got one of those big wins? Too bad, doesn't count because they're in the Big Ten.
