MIGGY!!

4-2 Giants, bottom 1

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Miggy has bone spurs in his ankle. He will need surgery this offseason.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Holy Lord, this is a horrific lineup for prime time. Don Kelly is hitting 6th.

MIGGY!!

3-0, bottom 3

If he's going to do this, let's drill a hole in his foot.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Miggy drives in Kinsler to push the lead to 5-1.

100 RBI for Miggy this year.

6-1 final.

Don't look now, but Coke's ERA is under 4, and the other numbers are actually respectable.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Oh, and Kyle Lobstein gets his first major league win.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Cabrera aggravated his ankle injury on a base-running play in a situation where he wasn't going to bat again. Inexcusable.

J.D.!!

4-1, bottom 5

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Aw, hell. Here we go again. And with Gordon at the plate...

4-2 final.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

So is the "wheel play" when the shortstop decoys to his fielding position and 2nd-basement sneaks in behind the bag?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Probably after we bat here, naturally.

I'm amazed the tarp isn't on by now. The infield has to be borderline unplayable.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

I would LOVE to know what the infatuation is with Don Kelly 1) playing CF on a semi-regular basis and 2) batting him 6th, right after JD.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

1 hit tonight thru 6.

1 hit, with Kelly, Avila and Romine in the lineup. Who knew?

Wow. That was a piece of pitching out of Al Al.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Soria's back.

He gives up a run, but that's another arm in the pen.
