Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

This team is the most maddening team I have ever followed.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

I'm not watching 19 again.

I don't blame you. I'm not either.

Nathan and Jim Johnson are warming up in the pen. Somehow I don't think 19 innings is an issue tonight.

We could be 3 back of the Royals tonight.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Okay, but, just what was the best expected result with Don Kelly up at the plate?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Somehow Johnson got out of that alive.

I'm quitting while we're still tied.

8-6.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

That works.

Victor with a grand slam, turns 1-0 with 2 outs in the 7th into 6 -0

Porcello with a leadoff double and nothing since.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

The real story is that the Tigers got their first run after Miggy had an infield hit, then scored from first base on a double.

6-0

Porcello with a 3 hitter.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Pretty tough when your SP has a line of 8IP 0ER 1H 0BB 9K and is on the hook for the loss.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

This isn't much better tonight. 2nd inning and we're already into the pen.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Uhh, yeah, that fan better find a hole to crawl into for a little while. With fans like that, you don't need people rooting against you.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Jeebus. For a moment there I thought Holaday had a grand slam.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Coke did his job tonight, and did it well. Now the Jim Johnson ****show commences.
