Are we overdue on the "bullpen chits the bed"?

...guess not.

Yeah, who cares if Scherzer is dealing,(and he's gone next year) let's bring in Nathan to **** up

1) Just looked at the clock and realized how early this game would've (could still) ended. Very nice pitching duel.
2) I don't understand why Scherzer isn't allowed to go as far as Verlander when it comes to pitch counts, especially when he's been so dominate.
3) Go away Nathan. 24/30 now and Ausmus needs to get away from the loyalty to him.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

This is more on Ausmus, IMO. Needed a short hook after last night. Instead, Nathan's thrown 54 pitches in 20 hours.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

A change didn't even need to be made. Scherzer was still just as dominate in the 8th as he was any other time during the game. Why bring in the guy who has been shaky at best and was less than ideal last night. If he really felt that Scherzer needed to come out he should've gone with Soria right away since he's fresh and was closing just a few weeks ago.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Only if Max said he was done. We'll have to wait and see on that. Agreed on Soria

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Well I guess Soria wasn't so fresh. Evidently the Tigers need to get a team masseuse because now Soria did something to his side muscle after Sanchez did last night.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Soria and Sanchez both onto the 15 day DL. Soria with an oblique strain and Sanchez with a pec strain. Sanchez expected to be out 3-4 weeks.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

With that, I think it's time to be concerned. Robbie Ray will start in Sanchez' place, and Justin Miller will likely take Soria's place.
