Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Not a bad outing. If Jackson makes that catch like he should, Knebel's out of that unscathed.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

I spoke too soon. Now he's making a mess in the 7th.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

If Danny Worth were to continue his trends to the same amount of innings as Phil Coke, he would only give up 1 more hit and have 4 less earned runs.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Can we ask for a transfer into the AL East? Maybe trade places with Tampa? Appears to be the only games we can win nowadays.

Though I can't complain about being in the Central where winning 85 games will probably be enough this season.

Good grief. We might need to have Danny Worth pitch 2 innings today.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

We're just playing a bad stretch of baseball right now. Not hitting, not pitching, and our fielding isn't exactly Gold Glove worthy, either.

We're in a team-wide slump right now. We'll get through this. We weren't a 28-12 caliber team. We're not a 1-6 type team, either. We should be fine.

2nd balk in a week. F**ing idiots.

Great line from Jim Price, on the fan who got on the field (and got tackled immediately. Like, before he got into fair territory):

"The only exercise he's been getting has been from his right hand."

We're gonna see one of the kids from Toledo at SS here pretty soon. Romine is rapidly approaching Neifi Perez territory.

5-4 final.

You can't blame Castellanos for this one, Nathan.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Nick's fiancee tweeted "Karma is a funny thing."

This could be ...fun.

VICTOR!

5-2, top 5.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Coke in the game, Castellanos kicks one. If it wasn't for the two outs already on the board, I'd bet on a 4-run inning here.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

The offense being arse for Seattle trip made the whole thing moot.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

All right. I've seen enough of Romine. Let's see Suarez.

Wonder who Joe Nathan will blame for this one.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Never really a fan of putting the closer in during a non-save situation.

Also, Romine with his best Roger Dorn "olé" move there.
