Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Does any other superstar in the game get tossed as much as Cabrera? I know Cabrera can be a dick sometimes, but the best hitter in the game seems to get tossed more than others.

Like Rod and Mario said, at least we get to watch Tim Timmons instead of the back-to-back MVP for the rest of this game.

And now Martinez falls like an old man and gets up limping.

Clearly, MLB officials are racists.

Worst. game. ever. End already.

Phil Coke in for the save opportunity. Jesus.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

The rare walk-off balk for the Indians.

I was on the losing end of one when I played in high school. Luckily I was in CF and not on the mound. Nothing you can do but laugh it off.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Coke blows the save, AlAl commits a balk to win the game for the Indians. JFC

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

That was one of the most entertaining games I've seen in awhile. :)

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

The tigers had been playing well above average baseball for a while now. They have been due to hit a skid somewhere.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

He can stay in Texas, then. Better that they deal with him and that contract than us. The fact that Dombrowski unloaded that contract in the manner he did was nothing short of amazing.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

So, Robbie Ray vs. Yu Darvish is a thing. I should probably find something else to do today.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

No, I gotta see this. And besides, if it goes straight to hell in a rocket sled, there's hockey tonight.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Danny Worth is pitching. And has a strikeout.

Edit : Throwing a knuckleball

Oh, crap. I didn't realize it was a day game.

Just saw the score. I'm glad I didn't realize it was a day game.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Robbie Ray sent to Toledo after the game. Corey Knebel might be the one recalled, but I can't find confirmation quite yet.

EDIT: It is Knebel.

Romine has a home run. I'm not sure how that happened. Maybe he hit a single to left and the entire outfield had a stroke. I'm not sure.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

And here we go with Corey Knebel. MLB debut right here.
