Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

There it is.

Jim Leyland can go **** himself in the *** with a snow shovel.
After you beat him over the head with it?

On the bright side, I don't have to listen to Buck and McCarver for the rest of the night.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

I hope they boo the nipples right off of Leyland's tits during the Game 3 pregame introductions.

Losing games like this can dramatically change the series. The window of WS champ opportunity for this team is closing- think 2009 Wings, or 2005-06 Pistons.

THAT is why fans are so pussed off.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

I had just gotten out of the hospital yesterday, so when it was 5 - 1, I was beat, tired, whipped, and went to bed figuring...

So you mean to tell me that everyone from the previous night, Veras, Smyly, Al Al, and Benoit, who everyone was singing praises to high heaven about, **** up the five run lead and were "beat, tired, and whipped," enough to f-up a possible 2 game lead going back to Detroit?

W T F ?

I'm so glad I didn't stay up and suffer through that S**T!!!

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Do you blame Iggy for the throw or Prince for not blocking it (and muffing the pop)??

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Not going to pile on, but I noticed your third starter in this series is a ****ing beast who can possibly prevent you from using your bullpen.

And I'm not Scarlet, so I have no opposite girl powers.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

It's our fanbase's turn to get anxious on every non-call or potential opportunity. Verlander is a good option, but like Scherzer, has pitch count issues that won't allow him to go deep into games sometimes. I am sure it is a strategic point that Sox players go deep into the count. Otherwise, JV has been good the last month with virtually nothing to show for it. Unlike Oakland, maybe the Sox will be more patient at the plate in order to make him beat them.

Score five runs and waste it... and now we'll be back to scratching 1 or 2 against Lackey.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

So, what's the end of 5 count (K's) and the amount (# of pitches) for Verlander today?

BTW, it's either feast or famine with Lackey. Either he pitches a gem and the team gets blanked, or he scuffles and the Sox score a bunch. I'm not sure what will happen today.

Don't know but if he's pitching well and the Tigers have a lead, Marlboro Jimmy needs to let him get into the upper 120's. The window is closing and a World Championship is the goal. If Scherzer was allowed to throw 12-15 more pitches, who knows where we'd be.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Why do my updates say "Delayed - Venue"? I hope JV isn't getting cold.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Verlander gonna Verlander.

Lineup gonna Ray Oyler.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Speaking of Ray Oyler, Jose Iglesias pinch hitting?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Yeah, I scratched my head at that one. Righty-lefty matchup, I guess. *shrug*

Wouldn't surprise me to see this end Thursday night.
