This last series has got to be concerning. The tigers seem to still do poorly against good pitching and if our pitching is not better than this we will never make it out of the first round.

INFANTE - 2!!!

6-2 Tigers, bottom 6

That one went off of Brantley's glove, off the top of the wall, and over.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Austin Jackson just hit the CF wall trying to make a catch. He's hurt. Might be shoulder. <strike>This could be bad.</strike>

It's now 6-5 in the 8th, but that's secondary at the moment.

Looks like he jammed his shoulder. He's staying in the game.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Last 10 outings: 9 IP, 3 ER, 7 H, 5 BB, 6 K's.

You can guess which stat I'm most concerned with.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Well, there's definitely nothing wrong with Jackson's shoulder now. Two run triple to LC to make it 8-5.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

That might have made up for the squeezing they've been doing to our pitchers tonight.

I can't believe Iglesias got that bunt down. That was above his eyelids.

10-5 final.

8.5 in front of Cleveland, 10.5 ahead of KC.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Weather permitting, I'll be at Fenway both Monday and Wednesday to catch the Tigahs.

Lived in Boston (Auburndale/Newton) from '87 to '89, went to a lot of games at Fenway. Love the ballpark and the city.

Will Miggy sit again tomorrow, now that we're 8.5 ahead?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

I'd sit him again. I don't think he's catching Davis in the HR race regardless of how many games he plays, so might as well give him a breather now.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

I'd be very happy if Cabrera sits. Looking forward to seeing Iglesias again, though. I've missed him.

OMG you guys have a relief pitcher named Albuquerque? Please tell me you play Point Me In The Directoon of Albuquerque when he comes in to pitch!!

Nope. Sorry. And sometimes his pitches couldn't hit a strike zone the size of Albuquerque, either.
