Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Umpire being friendly with the low strikes tonight, hopefully the hitters adjust or we could get no-hit the way this is going.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

I don't think we'll be seeing a no-no in this bandbox.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Second time through the lineup and he's not making anyone guess. Everyone has been on top of him.

KINSLER!

4-1, top 8

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Benches empty after Hunter gets plunked. Nothing of any significance yet. Norris apparently ejeccted.

And here come the bullpens. Just in time for Miggy to bat.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Without a doubt the lamest thing in sports is when the bullpens trot out when the benches clear.

Also, Torii is going to whip Bud Norris' behind, according to Torii Hunter.

4-1 final.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

W-T-F, Torii? That was a ****-poor piece of baserunning.

CABRERA!

VICTOR!

Back to back shots with 2 out in the 9th.

4-1 Tigers, top 9.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Torii getting thrown out at 3rd earlier wasn't any brighter.

Davis, I can understand. Don Kelly isn't exactly George Brett at the plate. Trying to stay out of the double play, I suppose.

Oh, and guess what?.......

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Seriously, 2 out and a full count on Hunter, and that happened.
Also, could Miggy maybe not Miggy against my team.

I don't get to watch my O's play very often, these games have made me sad.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Tigers are only -124 favorites today with Verlander going up against a prospect making his first start. Yes, it's the Orioles top prospect, but besides the lack of run support for Verlander I'm not sure how one of the top 3 pitchers in baseball can be near a pick 'em with a AAA guy.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Well after watching Verlander's last maybe 20 games. it looks to me like the other guys are sitting on the short curve. if they get it, he get's hurt, if not, then he's ok. every hit yesterday off him was on the short curve.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

If we don't get hit with the deluge they're predicting for later I could be in attendance for a Scherzer no hitter,

ETA - spoke too soon
