Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

7-1, bottom 5.

Deadliest Catch season premier is next. I leave this to you for the moment.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Phil Coke is not long for this roster.

8-3 just became 8-6 because Coke threw a meatball to Dunn.

8-6 final.

It doesn't need to be this way, boys.

JACKSON!

4-2, bottom 4.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

How nice to see you guys again.

I'm pretty sure that this series will be the only time that these clubs are close in the standings, and the Twins aren't running away with anything.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

We've gone from a 10-1 lead to probably having to use Nathan in two innings. This is absurd.

I turned it off at 10-1. Just thought I'd check how bad it was before hitting the sack. Now you guys have made it interesting. I wanted to get some sleep!

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

I was hoping to get some rest myself. This bullpen has been putrid all season. And it's not just one guy. They've been taking turns.

10-6 final.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Porcello left last night after tenderness in his elbow, apparently.

Now Sanchez is leaving this game in the 3rd.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Ortega was called up today. Threw 36 pitches. 11 strikes. Coke has thrown 23 pitches. 9 are strikes.

MARTINEZ!

5-3 Twins, top 9.

That's probably our last gasp right there.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Sanchez to the DL with a nasty blister. They're calling it a "right middle finger laceration".

Justin Miller, who was sent down yesterday to make room for Jose Ortega (who decided to give out free bases on balls to the first 10,000 customers today), will be recalled.
