Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Oh. I thought Avila was still behind the plate. That one's on me.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

I think we're dead. Blew a golden opportunity in the 10th.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Not necessarily. We've got the the Big 4 coming up. They were two feet from ending it last time they batted. They could still do some damage.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

We're going to have to score 2 now.

When you get shutout for 10 innings, you really don't have a right to ***** about the bullpen, I suppose.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

I don't care if Omar is out or not. I really don't. That's a makeup call for what they butchered in the outfield in the 1st, and I'm okay with that.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Technically, I think the last Tiger pitcher to hit a homer was Dontrelle Willis, when he unloaded a cannon shot as a member of the Reds a couple years ago.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Jason Johnson. At least it was called by Vin Scully, and hit off of Jeff Weaver.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Miggy hit his 15th to put us up 3-1. No homer light, as I doubt any of us saw it.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Jhonny got ejhected in the middle of the 4th.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Tagged him in the butt, and he didn't re-touch 2nd base. This got screwed up a couple times.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

3 runs in the last 29 innings. Not hard to figure out how we're about to drop 3 straight to Pittsburgh.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Might as well. We sure as hell didn't raise any runs.

GARCIA!!!

5-3 Tigers, top 6

I swear to God, I thought that was Miggy.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Aw, Christ. Here we go again.

Phil Coke after two errors is a better option here than half-blonde-beard boy. Hell, Virgil Trucks is a better option, and he just died this year.

DICKERSON!!!

No, not the broadcaster.

7-5 O-faces, end game.

**** you, Valverde. Get your *** in the clubhouse and cry some more, just like you did in the dugout in the World Series.

That was a pathetic ending to an otherwise good game by Max and the rest of the Tigers.
