Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Say goodnight. It's just a matter of time now.
You sound like a Red Sox fan.

Red Sox beat writer Peter Abraham agrees with you:

Phil Coke has been on a nice run. It could end here. He's not actually that good

No way should Coke come out for another inning, and you know Leyland is going to try it if he has to. If ever there was a time for the bottom half of the order to pull a run out of their ***...

Miggy & Prince!

I guess Pence, Belt and Blanco wanted a ride in that car as well...

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

That might have broken Infante's hand right there.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

The only good news is that the ball hits his wrist first, which softens the impact a little before it hits his hand. Not fun at all on a cold night like this. I wouldn't be surprised if it was broken either.

Who else are we going to call on? We've got Ricky Brokedick, the Human Gopher Ball Vending Machine, and Valverde. We've already burned Smyly and Dotel.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

How many ****ing times can they hit the catcher with their backswings?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

I have to wonder if it's something we're doing as an organization. I've never seen other catchers in other franchises take a pounding like ours have the last couple years.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

I figured we were boned after our big guns fired blanks in the bottom of the 8th.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Infante did break a finger. He'll have a nice long winter to recover.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

We're gonna PH Don Kelly in front of Cabrera?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Thanks, Don Kelly. Thanks, Marlboro Jimmy. Christ, Ryan Raburn would have been a better choice.

Miggy to end the season. Fitting.

And the dummy with the sign shows up behind the plate.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

As opposed to the dummies in the batters' box?
