X-rays negative on Duensing. Bruised ankle appears to be the extent of the damage.

I figured he'd miss one start only, after he was sorta able to put weight on it and limp off the field.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

And yeah, Verlander? The kid's kinda good, and looks like he'll stay that way for quite a few years. ;)

He's the oldest starter we have. I think he's 29.

As for your starters, I wonder how much it has to do with the fact that you guys don't have Rick Knapp anymore, coaching guys in the minors. It seemed like you guys stopped developing pitchers right after we hired him.

And now we've got a pitching coach that has been fired 3 different times by the organization.

What the hell, let's post-whore a bit (more).

If he started tonight, he was finished until after the break, anyway. If you guys stagger the rotation correctly, he might not miss any starts at all.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

That's scary.

Well, we rushed Porcello, and I'm convinced that we stunted his development in the process. Scherzer was drafted by Arizona in 2006, Smyly is a rookie, and this is only Fister's 3rd season in the bigs. Jacob Turner is 20 and parked in AAA-Toledo, and I don't want to see him in Detroit on a regular basis for a while yet. We've already rushed two young pitchers this decade (Porcello and Bonderman), and it hurt them big-time. I'm not in the mood for that kind of hat trick.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

I'm familiar with Scherzer, kid has talent.

And the FSN announcer just pronounced Parise's name three different ways in about 60 seconds. (Pah-ree-seeee/yes he drew it out, Pah-ree-say, Pah-ree-zee).

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

I'm gonna grab that *er going "WOO!" with the pizza box over his head and fire his *** straight into that lake.

I hate the woo. Except John Woo. He's pretty awesome.

Nice catch. Don't ever *in' do it again. /Major League

Congrats, Tiggers fans.

5-1 final.

Verlander goes the distance.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

I'm glad I have him on my FBL team. :)

Hammer: you need to make that some sort of meme.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

I'll slowly work it in around here. Just like the shovels.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

who's this ppffouuffe guy? Man, between he and Willingham, they are killing the Tigers this season. Oh, and that catcher dude is back, too.

Too bad the Twins ERA is around 7.

BTW- The Tigers are now 1 game under against the Central teams. That should tell you what kind of year it has been.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

18 degrees cooler in Detroit than here right now (98 vs 80). Rain looks like it's in the area of the ballpark. They might get a 2nd rain delay today.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Ballsy play to nail him at the plate. Lucky it paid off.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Now Raburn shoots down a runner at the plate to end the inning.
