Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

88 might still be enough in this race to be the tallest midget.

Although we're on the road for a bit, we still should be able to right the ship. The starting pitching has been stellar as of late.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Brandon Inge at 3B and Bartolo Colon on the mound. This has all the ingredients for a 9-inning dumpster fire.

DIRKS!!!

1-0, two batters in.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Single run in the top half. That's usually a bad omen...

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Ummmm....never mind. Colon is gone here in the 3rd and it's 7-2. If we blow this one...

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

All right. The offense did its job tonight. No excuses allowed this evening.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

I'm not defending Inge so much as trying to make the point that all the booing, and calling for people's jobs, gets us no where. Santiago had a much better year last year than so far this year too btw.
I think Boesch will get better as the year goes on if he learns to hit the opposite way. overall we'll do well as the year goes on if you ask me.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

*sigh*

The A's have an anemic offense and Porcello is giving away XBHs and hits like it's Christmas.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Without me looking, when is the last time Raburn got a hit? I've watched most or all of the last 6 or 7 games and I cannot remember seeing him get a hit.

In other news, I guess Inge just needed a new setting.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

The Oakland A's offense is making us look like a Double-A offense. This is absurd.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Verlander, Fister and Smyly are cool. Everyone else can **** off.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Gotta love our approach at the plate. This guy's walking half of California and Dirks swings at a titty-high fastball to kill the rally.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Ryan Raburn is hitting .126. One. Twenty. Six. On May 13. We cannot wait for August for him to get the lead out of his *** and start hitting.

If Danny Worth can't do any better than that, cut him.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

FTR, I would let JV pitch the 8th. As I finish this post, we're informed that he's done.

It's about *ing time, Ryan.

3-1 final.
