Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Add in Fernando Rodney in the bullpen this year and JD for the Sox last year and that’s almost a third of the active roster that’s won a title.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Reminds me of the "How many former Twins are in the all star game" game we would play for a number of years.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Verlander being 0-6 in the World Series means he's a true Detroit Tiger, though.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Tigers sign Austin Romine.

The one that brawled with Miggy a couple years ago. Yeah, that one.

This oughta be good.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Tigers sign 1B/DH CJ Cron and 2B Johnathan Schoop. Average bats, which would put them among our best hitters in this lineup.

My only complaint is that neither of them is a left-handed bat.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Cron can hit dingers. Schoop is streaky.

Oh, and it is pronounced "scope", much to my disappointment.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Im playing OOTP20 as a GM. I see this come across my news page.

1/25/2022 - Detroit moves to San Antonio

New team name, the Sting. Blame Chris Illitch.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

He was a new PA announcer last year. I thought he did a good job.
