Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Fulmer will be shut down for "a while", and he's going to go see Dr. James Andrews.

So now, as a Detroit sports fan:

The Tigers are in for a long rebuild.

The Wings are in the middle of a 5-6 year rebuild.

It seems like the Pistons are in year 786 of their rebuild.

And the Lions have a ceiling of 10-6 and a first round exit.

Miggy's suspension is cut to 6. He'll start serving tonight.

At least college sports have a quicker turnaround.

Ramirez of Cleveland hits a long fly ball to left field.

Ball bounces off the top of the wall twice, back to the field until....

Mahtook swats it over the wall, giving Ramirez a home run.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Okay, let's see just what this Artie Lewicki kid has. He's a 25 year old who was drafted in 2014 in the 8th round. I don't have really high hopes, but we'll see.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

9 hits allowed in 3 innings.

Bring me another smurf.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

That was NOT a triple. That was a major league Ole job out of Hosmer there.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

And Castellanos just hit a 3-run shot to pull us to 7-6 in the bottom of the 9th.
