Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

I doubt it. The apparent diagnosis is ulner neuritis. Sounds like some mild inflammation.

Either way, we're 8-10 games under .500. We can afford to sit him down for a while so that this can get settled down.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Also, Detroit News is reporting that an MRI showed no ligament or tendon damage.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Holy pants. Baltimore's SS just had an ole' job that would make Bill Buckner blush. And it gift-wrapped us 2 runs. That was horrific.

Tillman is done. It's just a matter of when the bullpen is ready.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

We staked Boyd to a 7-0 lead and he might not make it out of the 4th inning.

I wasn't off by much. He gets 1 out in the 5th, and leaves with 2 runners on, and the tying run in the on-deck circle.

Horse**** performance.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

7-5 in the top of the 9th.

It would not surprise me if we blew this in the bottom half. We've been playing with fire and leaking oil since we got that 7-0 lead.

7-5 final.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

I think we just discovered exactly why Ed Mujica was still in AAA at 33.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Good grief. Everything they're hitting off of him is bouncing off of a wall somewhere.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Per Lynn Henning (who I despise):

Cubs get: Justin Wilson and Alex Avila
Tigers get: Jeimer Candelario and Isaac Paredes, and PTBNL or cash.

Candelario is arguably the Cubs' #1 prospect, a 3B. Paredes is an 18 year old SS in A-ball.

The Tigers have called up Candelario, as Iggy is on the Bereavement List, with a death in his family.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

One. One bleeping hit tonight.

And the 3B we just called up....sits on the bench. And we're not sure if we're even going to use him. So why on earth did we call him up in the first place?!?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

8 innings tonight. 1 hit allowed.

Verlander gonna Verlander.
