Gibby trying to do math again.

Here's the rough cut, Gibby:

3 seconds saved/pitch x 300 pitches/game = 900 seconds saved. 900/60 = 15 minutes saved per game.

At 5 seconds/pitch it's 25 minutes per game.

Alex Avila may be headed to the Cubs as well. Don't know if he's going in the same trade yet.

Per Lynn Henning (who I despise):

Cubs get: Justin Wilson and Alex Avila
Tigers get: Jeimer Candelario and Isaac Paredes, and PTBNL or cash.

Candelario is arguably the Cubs' #1 prospect, a 3B. Paredes is an 18 year old SS in A-ball.

At least. I wouldn't completely rule out all three of Kinsler-Iglesias-Castellanos being elsewhere next spring. This could be a huge rebuild, as we already have to re-tool the outfield.

Yeah, we watched the stands start to empty out after that. we stuck around til the seventh inning stretch and then opted to leave. Missed the end of that shibby show.

Superb catch at the wall by Adduci to rob the Yanks of a 2-run shot. Apparently Adduci wants to Adduci, at least with the glove.

Runner on 3rd with 0 out and Sanchez gets out of it unscathed, not even letting a ball out of the infield. Nice work.

Rain delay in New York.

We all like to bang on Fox Sports for the Bernstein and Feiger ads. But I discovered today that it's not just us. The Yankee broadcasters had ads for ambulance chasers, too.

2-0 DET thru 7 and the rain comes pouring down again. Storm got stronger and stronger as the grounds crew tried to get the tarp down and the infield is soaked. With it being a getaway day I wouldn't be surprised if this is it.
