Detroit Lions 2019: No Question About It. I Am Ready to Get Hurt Again.

Re: Detroit Lions 2019: No Question About It. I Am Ready to Get Hurt Again.

You do understand that the Lions drafted a wide receiver with the top pick 3 years in a row, and two of them were busts? This team has needed defense and an offensive line for years, and apparently, the Lions can't draft for either.

I said you have the 1-pick.

I did not say you would use it wisely.

I'm no football expert.

But Matt Stafford has a broken back. In the past, he's also had many other breaks of items. The fact that it does not SCREAM that offensive line should be top priority just demonstrates the incompetence in the Lions front office. The highest paid player should be protected as an investment.

The fact that our D sucks just says that our coach is overrated as a defensive coach. Which is pretty common in Detroit.

And Barry was a great RB despite the offensive line.

Opponents for next year:

Home: Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Washington Redskins.
Away: Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans.

I'll say 3-13 unless the offensive line is addressed.

draft another number one quarterback?

But not Patricia's mentor at DC. I'm sure the defense will be fine.

Seems like the leading excuse was that the team had so many injuries, so the strength and conditioning coach went first.

Nice to see that Patricia ignored that his D was not that good last year, too.

Sigh.... looks like we will have another year without the playoffs.

I'm thinking 3-13, and at least the #3 pick in the draft next year.

That's being optimistic.

Quinn and Patricia hired the strength coach that New England fired for too many injuries. Now they fired him for the same. Between that and Quinn's chosen coach being the one Pats DC that got destroyed in the Super Bowl, it's pretty clear what the end result will be.

Re: Detroit Lions 2019: No Question About It. I Am Ready to Get Hurt Again.

DC Pasqualoni has stepped down as DC. Stats on the news has the D last year as bad as the 0-16 team.

There are now 8 coaching positions open for the Lions.

Re: Detroit Lions 2019: No Question About It. I Am Ready to Get Hurt Again.

With Chase Young declaring for the draft, it appears that the Lions should get someone from OSU- as two of the top 3 are defensive players from there.

Which means we will certainly draft some tight end.

The Tigers have drafted more Super Bowl QBs than the Lions.
