The daughters are already running things now, from what I've heard.

You want to fix the Lions?

1) Hire a quality GM
2) Let him do his job
3) Get the hell out of the way.

This tripe about "The Fords should sell" is the tired old mantra of every unemployed ghetto rat and trailer trash who calls into sports radio every day. They don't have a pot to **** in of their own, but they can tell a billionaire what to do with their money. There's a hell of a lot worse ownership in the NFL.

The best owners are the ones who have the ability to identify quality GMs. The Ford family's biggest issue is that the don't have enogh experience in identifying true talent from BS because they don't make personnel decisions in a business on a regular basis.

Fair point. However, there are plenty of people in the NFL that you can get recommendations from. The first two that I call are Ron Wolf and Bill Polian. Not necessarily to interview, but to get feedback as to who to look at.
