Good to see the Pios come back to nite.
And a relatively penalty free series

Denver looked better tonight.. pretty even game Denver had the 2 quick goals and was lucky as cornell could easily scored 2-3 in the minutes that followed. The late empty netter was just one of many poor calls the refs made. missed several icings 2-3 off sides and a couple blatant hand passes. How they messed up the last offsides was amazing you dont often see calls missed by 1-2 ft, then it was discussed several times for some reason, they attempted some kind of review but didnt actually look at the video that could have shown the call ,, then came back and discussed it some more.. it didnt help the linesman was way out of position on the call and the ref who could see the call didnt try to help and correct the mistake..

Denver was the better team on Saturday, especially in the first period (which felt like the longest power play ever experienced at Lynah). A split is probably a fair result. I was a bit shocked that Stewart replaced Gillam in goal (although he played very well) and that Cornell was unable to put much pressure on Denver's freshman goalie at the beginning of Saturday's game.

I was wondering if the officials were talking about offside after the third Denver goal. Looked pretty obvious from my angle, which admittedly isn't the best. I didn't think that was a reviewable issue.

Much respect and appreciation to Denver for coming to Ithaca and hopefully it doesn't take as long to renew this series.
