There were a few Warren voters here. Small sample but if she was out would you have voted Sanders or Biden?

I was a Warren who went to Bernie. (but apparently am doing a victory dance cause Biden won somehow )

Sorta reminds me of a question I think about a lot. Do you vote what's best for your family or do you vote what in theory is better for the nation as a whole. Easy decision for me.

I'll admit I've been a bit of a jerk with a few posts tonight, but the way a couple of the "Vote Bernie or Die" people here act, I feel they earned it.

It's OK. We've all been jerks. I hope I have not seemed like "Vote Bernie or Die." If others have I sympathize with them because it is a hard, hard thing to feel like you're actually close to finally having some of your ideals realized only to be attacked by your friends.

Every Democrat is family once this all ends. We should probably act accordingly.

I probably would've held my nose and voted for Sanders. I technically could still do that when I get home on Thursday, if I run into my clerk's office and demand a new mail-in ballot, but I'm not doing it.

If she doesn’t drop out after tonight will Sanders go after her aggressively? He can’t alienate her supporters but he needs to shut her down — she’s killing him.

That’s where Bernie is so severely lacking. He can’t make a deal if his life depended upon it. It’s one thing to sit in the coffee shop and preach the tenets of a strong welfare state, it’s another to be president of the United States. He somehow never understood that a coalition might be necessary. Trump didn’t build one and didn’t need one. He let the other candidates chip away at each other until he was the tallest mushroom in the cornfield.

Biden’s camp saw it as necessary to do something dramatic and storm the beaches of Normandy with a coalition and he’s going to push all the way to Berlin.

I caucused for Pete. My second choice at that time was, and generally still is, Warren. If I had to do it today, though, I would've gone for Biden since it is a 2-person race in all but name.

I think he will surprise you. ticap's heart is in the right place. I think he is frustrated by the difficulties of running an insurgency that can be attacked from both the GOP and fellow Dems. But he also understands that the mainstream DNC whatever its flaws is a trillion times better than the best Republican, and Dump is the very worst Republican. ticap will be there in the end. If he needs to vent for one night, be kind. Losing sucks.

I should have had the wink face. I was kidding- those numbers could make one think Liz really tanked Bernie tonight.

Overall Bernie isn’t getting as many votes as last time, will be interesting case study

Is "voting for a winner" a factor? Has that ever been studied? People voting for who they think will win so they can say they were right? The more steam Biden picks up does that influence other on the fence voters?

I feel like Pete at VA is a waste and a potential career-killer for him. No one ever fixes that mess and there's always some scandal afoot there.

I caucused for Pete. My second choice at that time was, and generally still is, Warren. If I had to do it today, though, I would've gone for Biden since it is a 2-person race in all but name.

Nearly everyone in my circle had Warren and Pete as top two. I know a lot of self- declared moderates who went for Liz based on her intelligence and policy ideas. Just my sample, but interesting how so many I know had those two, esp. as some try to paint her as far left as Bernie

Overall Bernie isn’t getting as many votes as last time, will be interesting case study

He:

1. Has a recent dark mark on his health

2. Is not running against an unfairly maligned candidate named Hillary Clinton

CNN gossip says: (1) Warren confided to a friend she sees no path forward. Suggests maybe she will drop out, contrary to her fundraising memo (which after all might have just been on a clock release). (2) Bloomberg's knows it's over and quote doesn't want to do anything to help Sanders unquote. He really, really does not want to pay taxes. I think everything points to him dropping out and immediately endorsing Biden.

The fascinating thing is that Warren may have saved Biden by murdering Bloomberg on live national television.

They’re a vocal minority. We just disagree what fraction they make up.

I know they're out there. And even if a couple of them are agents provocateur, they all aren't.

Warren was my first preference. In a two-person race I go for Biden.
