OK, I understand. And yes, it is true if Biden is making big gains on sameday.

If Biden sh-t the bed in CA it all goes the other way, and at the moment he's behind Bloomberg which would be apocalyptic, but I don't expect anything like that when full results are in.

Stumbled into a former co-worker's Twitter over two years after I left that job. Always knew he was a square-as-hell, WSJ-reading Republican, but didn't know he was a complete a55hole on social media to boot.

Let's just say having read your posts in their entirety nothing in my post above changes with respect to you.

I agree that other posters I was getting the vibe from are far more circumspect than I credited them with.

Biden is closing the gap in Texas...Warren is really killing Sanders in many of these states.

Maybe. That's what I would want to believe, sure, but it seems like Biden definitely got a big bump from SC followed by Amy and Pete. I don't think this is Sanders being split by Warren -- after all Warren underperformed in the East. I think this is two things:

(1) Sanders has young support. If they don't show up for a primary he looks worse. But the whole point was he would inject enough energy into the process that they would show up, so even if it's an explanation it's still not an excuse -- it shows Sanders as deficient.

(2) Biden's just doing substantively better than expected. If he goes on to be the nominee that bodes well for us in the general. He's not backing in.

I obviously don't love it. However if Biden wins like this -- outperforming across the board -- then that shows strength and we will need it to fight the orcs.

If she doesn’t drop out after tonight will Sanders go after her aggressively? He can’t alienate her supporters but he needs to shut her down — she’s killing him.

So even though I voted for Bernie, gave money to Bernie and have been pimping Bernie I am somehow happy Biden won? A guy I have been saying I didnt want to run for President since he was Veep? Sure thing but you arent sour or anything.

You dont like that I think for myself and will call a spade a spade. That is cool. But you dont get to tell me what I think or how I feel ok? Sanders underperforming is the second worst outcome for me tonight. (the worst being Bloomberg actually doing anything of value) I wanted him to crush and end this. I wanted the Dems to finally do something to shift the Party away from the Bidens of the world. apparently no one else did. Somehow to you though that equates to me declaring victory...

You sound like the Vikings fans I know who get all mad because I dare say the flag they threw was legit. Just because the outcome isnt something I wanted doesnt mean I support it.

Let's see if the Biden fans can practice what they preach and not be d-cks about it. It will be instructive. If they can, that's very good moving forward. If they can't, well, they'll get the nominee they want but also show that in the end it wasn't actually the Sanders folks who were the jerks. Pretty simple and entirely within your power.

I don’t recall a single Biden supporter here outside of conservative crossovers.

I’m also not getting any of the vibes you’re describing. Some people are happy or relieved it’s not Sanders, but I haven’t seen a single “**** you” to sanders voters.

I feel like Pete at VA is a waste and a potential career-killer for him. No one ever fixes that mess and there's always some scandal afoot there.

There were a few Warren voters here. Small sample but if she was out would you have voted Sanders or Biden?

Sanders has a filter that Bernie does not. She has radical ideas, but knows she cannot pass them all. Give a little, take a little. I know some on this board have a "take no prisoners" attitude, but that will get NOTHING done. i'd rather get SOMETHING done, you know?

Well it depends if you believe her votes would go to Bernie or not. I think they do. (especially in places like Texas and Minnesota) Bernie would still have issues in the other states but she is definitely making things closer than they should be.

I will never get why people like Biden...is it cause he is folksy and dumb? I mean it worked for Dubya I guess but I prefer my Presidents be able to string together coherent sentences.

I'll admit I've been a bit of a jerk with a few posts tonight, but the way a couple of the "Vote Bernie or Die" people here act, I feel they earned it.

I think he will surprise you. ticap's heart is in the right place. I think he is frustrated by the difficulties of running an insurgency that can be attacked from both the GOP and fellow Dems. But he also understands that the mainstream DNC whatever its flaws is a trillion times better than the best Republican, and Dump is the very worst Republican. ticap will be there in the end. If he needs to vent for one night, be kind. Losing sucks.
