Dead Thread - 2020

Over the weekend, I sent two emails of condolence and sympathy in regard to men who died on October 4. One was to a former coworker, Deborah Schifter, a daughter of former US Ambassador Richard Schifter.. There are many obits about Amb. Schifter, whom I have met, on the Internet, including a statement by House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer.

The other was to Philip Lederer a son of Albert (Al) Lederer, a Prof. Emeritus at the University of Kentucky. Al and I corresponded about genealogy for many years. We had a mutual interest in the former Jewish community of Forchheim in Bavaria as well as the cemetery in nearby Baiersdorf. It's much harder to find any mention of his passing on the Internet, but it is there.

Hopefully there isn't a third person who died on 10/4/20 about whom I will send another email.
