DC Sexual Assault Thread: We needed one...

Re: DC Sexual Assault Thread: We needed one...

Glad it’s another Democrat. Good thing we’re forcing them out but letting in pedophiles if they’re an R

Als biggest mistake was touching adult women. Go under 18 and he’d be a shoo in for president.
Wait, wrong party.

Sad day. Two of my favorite politcian's taken down before they could really accomplish anything. One in death, the other in scandal.

Death? Wellstone or did somebody else die?

Gotta clean up your own house before you throw stones. I could grudgingly give him the benefit of the doubt after the first allegation since the woman accepted his apology, but the context of that after 6-7 more allegations is a guy thinking his celebrity status affords him the right to act much like all those Hollywood people we keep hearing about. Sorry Al, you were on the right side of almost every issue, but take a hike.

Yep.

Wellstone. Who, if I remember correctly, Franken held in very high regard.

Franken's election was to take Wellstone's seat. He beat Norm Coleman. Coleman challenged Wellstone during the 2002, was lagging in the polls by just under ten points, IIRC, and then won because of Wellstone's plane crash. The replacement candidate (Mondale?) didn't show any enthusiasm for the job, which is why Norm won by a couple points. Then Franken seized on a week incumbent, and now we end up where we are now.

ETA: This is more for people outside of MN, who care to know such things.

We are in violent agreement.

Oddly enough I was aware of all of this. Partly because I followed Wellstone and was a true believer, but also it was a big national story. Eastern Bias isn't that exhaustive. :p

Democrats will fail again if they think this changes Roy Moore. Here's why. Roy Moore gets elected and then he'll have to be seated. Once seating the Senate could expel him. That's what the Democrats are going for I assume. Won't work.

Today Turtle Boy came out and said Al Franken needs to go because he's lost the support of his Constituents. If Roy Moore gets elected he will have gained the support of his Constituents.

Then they use Roy Moore to Ram through the tax cut.

Wasn't All's first election a nail biter with allegations of voter fraud (late ballots suddenly showing up)?

No. All that will do is give Trump the ability to replace him with a young guy that will be there for another 30 years. He already put a Thomas disciple in the stolen spot.

That would be terrible, but I am tired of the double standards here
