Re: Days Since Last Mass Shooting: 0

A start would be funding the CDC to study gun violence so we have a clue about what could be done. That's going to require a Democratic House in 2022, though. Obama's Executive Order after Sandy Hook got as far as expected

Re: Days Since Last Mass Shooting: 0

Do you think he would have killed 50 people with a knife?

33 dead: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-wielding-men-attack-train-station-China.html
25 dead: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/School_attacks_in_China_(2010–12)

And others:

How about the more "creative":

Sarin in Tokyo: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo_subway_sarin_attack

It's not the weapons of choice; it's the motivation and capabilities of the assailants to do evil.

Re: Days Since Last Mass Shooting: 0

That's because its North Dakota. The city of Chicago doesn't consider knives as deadly as guns.

The city of Chicago is also one of the most restrictive cities in the country for guns....and has one of the worst gun death rates. How is that working out for you?

Re: Days Since Last Mass Shooting: 0

Jefferson was involved in writing it. He wanted to see a revolution occur every so often so that those in power would be less likely to abuse it. For better or worse, the man liked a good uprising.

Clearly not a good idea. A revolution today would result in unimaginable suffering, imagine the U.S. turning into Iraq. It's not a good reason to keep things the way they are; re-thinking the 2nd amendment should not be off the table.

Indiana's lax gun laws is the reason for the flow in to Chicago.

“You can be in the city of Chicago and be closer to a gun show in Indiana than you are to downtown,” said Sarah Emmons, a researcher at the University of Chicago’s Chicago Crime Lab

That's your assumption. What if a revolution today peacefully created three or four new nations? Left Coast, Effete Northeast, Flyover, and the SEC. Or maybe a fifth: Texas.

Well, I'm glad all of these people that are carrying in Chicago went through the rigorous process to get a concealed carry permit in the state of Illinois. Since, you know, it would be illegal not to, and if it is a law, they must follow it.

The fact is, if there are attempts made at removing or changing the 2nd. Attempts made at confiscation. There will be violence. We've talked about how crazy some gun owners are already in previous posts. What happens when someone walks up and tries to take these peoples guns? Nothing good. Also, there are large swaths of the country where law enforcement, county sheriffs, etc, will not enforce these laws. It would be sending their deputies to a death sentence. You want to see a revolution, or an armed uprising, try to confiscate guns, or ban them, and that's exactly what you'll see.

That amendment to rescind or alter the 2nd Amendment would have to be coupled with another amendment to allow for states to peaceably extricate themselves from the Union. IMO, it would be a mistake for any state to exercise such an option, but it should be available as an appeasement.

How fast can we get rid of Texas??
