They have been saying for a couple of hours at least radical Islam was suspected.

*eta* and by "they" I mean people speaking at various podiums, apparently officially, not just news organization talking head types.

The narrative over the next week is going to be interesting:

1. This is what happens when you dehumanize the LGBT community. Thanks GOP.
2. This is Islamic terrorism and we shouldn't let Syrians in. Thanks Obama.
3. This is what happens when you don't have background checks on gun purchases. Thanks NRA.
4. This is why we need to have domestic spying. Thanks Snowden.
5. BENGHAZI!!!! Thanks Hillary.

So far the TV media has been jerking off to the Islamic terrorism line of thinking while almost completely ignoring the hate crime aspect. Seriously. One guy said we need to be careful to label this a hate crime while saying this is absolutely Islamic terrorism and we need to have ways to get around encryption. Yeah, go guck yourself buddy.

It could be yes to both counts. Islamic male see 2 guys kissing and flips off and enacts his veraion of Allah's vengeance.

Something kind of amazing is going on at reddit right now. The news subreddit is being destroyed because the mods are mass deleting all of the comments about Islam on the page. Even links to places like the bbc or NBC are being deleted

TheDonald subreddit is the only front page coverage of the event.

Please explain how bemoaning the fact that somebody had the means to end 50 lives with such ease in such a short period of time is a "political" issue? Am I wrong? Are there seriously people on the opposite side of that issue?

I guess my earlier question was silly. Trump tweeted hours ago, taking a victory lap, for being "right on radical Islamic terrorism". Whatever that is supposed to mean.
